I figured what better project for my new miter saw than to build a new table for it to sit on. I built the table using some plans posted on the internet and modified them slightly to fit both my shop vacuum and an additional drawer. The miter saw is connected to a vacuum to clean up most of the saw dust and the vacuum is plugged into an i-Socket Autoswitch which automatically turns on when the miter saw is in use. The vacuum will stay on longer than the miter saw for 10 seconds for maximum dust collection. Best of all, I now have a designated place to park my miter saw and shop vacuum, whereas they were both previously moving around from corner to corner after each use.
